2021.03　Multitasking

目の前にある光景は写し撮られ、加工され、層を重ねていく。自身の記憶もまた層になり、現実より鮮やかに、時間の経過と共に色濃くなる。写真はまた別の記憶の光景として存在し、上書きされ続ける。

2017.06　Statement

First, I find tubes having the metallic core for their form to be fixed. Their original usage is to bind things, but they can be seen as a new material for freely and instantly drawing 3D lines in the air, looking like the lines drawn using 3D softwares. Next I take a lot of photos of the tubes with their forms freely changed. Then I compose them and change their colors. Through these processes, I explore the boundary between 2D and 3D or the boundaries between visual expressions such as photos and paintings. Furthermore, in displaying the photos, I frame them on boxes and place them on floor so that they can be looked down. Moving across 3D materials in the real space and 3D representation of photos gives the visual effect that enables us to investigate the nature of photography.

金属芯が入った、形状を固定できるチューブを発見する。実際の用途は物を結束するためにあるが、3Dソフトで描いたかのような立体的な線を、空中に自由に瞬時に描ける新しい画材のようにも思えた。この一つのチューブの形を自在に変えて大量に撮影し、さらに合成、色を変換するなどして編集することで複製し、2次元と3次元、写真と絵画など平面上での視覚的表現の境界を探るため、制作している。 また、写真を立体の箱に額装し、写真を見下ろすように床面に配置したりするなど、物質としての3次元と写真の中の3次元を行き来するなど視覚的効果を通じて写真の本質を探っている。
